Music Creator, artist & founder Nashon Walker a.k.a DreamSound, says “DreamSound Global
Records is not mere music but a new genre and sound to lift and empower people to dream the biggest dreams. DreamSound is music with a mission.” As one who grew up in the inner-city streets of Philadelphia and that have been incarcerated, DreamSound knows what it’s like to be under the influence of wrong messaging. He credits a lot of the lyrical content of today’s hip hop music with creating some of the wrong mindsets and belief systems that led to his trouble earlier in life. Coming out of prison with great supports and mentors, DreamSound a.k.a Nashon Walker made a decision to turn things around, not only for himself, but for all the other young people like himself in Urban America.
Nashon Walker a.k.a DreamSound’s purpose in birthing the DreamSound music genre was to counter the negative messaging of today’s hip hop culture with a new sound of music that will empower young men and women to rise above their old and defeating mentalities. Rather than condone and glorify violence, drug addiction, belittling of women, dishonoring of authority, and destruction of family; the new genre “DreamSound” will infiltrate the airwaves with messages of loyalty, hard-work, prosperity, victory and significance. DreamSound says, “It’s about a blessed life and it’s yours for the taking.”
